A local court on Saturday sentenced gangsters Ankur Likhari and Sanjeev Babba to life imprisonment and also imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 each in connection with the Raju Chikna murder case.
Chikna, the vicitim, was standing opposite the judicial complex when the duo came in a four-wheeler and fired at him, resulting in his death. A case in this regard was registered against the two at the Civil Lines police station on the complaint of Balwinder Singh, a resident of Sundar Nagar.
Raju Chikna was targeted by Likhari and Babba as he was close to Jagtar Boxer, who headed a rival gang. Both the gangs had clashed on a number of occasions before.
