In a rare occurrence, a two-headed boy was born at Rajindra Children's Hospital here on Tuesday. His parents, Subhash and Payal, say it's God's curse on them. "We would rather let this child die," said Subhash, who works as a labourer.

Dr RK Bansal, who conducted the surgery, talked to Dr Arun Bansal of the Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, about the boy's treatment. However, the infant's parents refused to take him to the premier institute. Talking to HT, Dr RK Bansal said, "The child has two heads and two necks. The other organs, including the heart, are like normal children. We are giving treatment free of cost, but it would be a miracle if he survives."
