A woman and her accomplice were booked by the Division number 4 police on Friday for a similar crime committed 17 months ago.

The two were booked for sedating and looting Vineet Chauhan of Kundanpuri of Civil Lines area. Vineet in his complaint to the police said that on March 12, 2012, a woman, who has not been identified so far, along with her accomplice, Deepak of Azad Nagar near Gill road, met him in Kundanpuri area near the Shiv Mandir. He said the accused offered her a chocolate laced with sedatives, after which he turned unconscious. He said the two fled after snatching his gold rings, chain, locket, Rs 20,000 and a mobile phone.

Inspector Vinod Kumar, SHO at police station division number 4 said that a case has been registered under Section 382 ( theft after preparation made for causing death, hurt or restraint in order to the committing of the theft) of the Indian Penal Code following a long investigation. The police have launched a manhunt to arrest the accused.
