Two killed in road mishap in Tarn Taran

A 26-year-old woman was killed along with her four-year-old daughter when the motorcycle on which she was commuting with her husband was hit by a mini bus in Tarn Taran. The deceased have been identified as Baljit Kaur (26) and Jasmine (4), both residents of Naurangabad.

A 26-year-old woman was killed along with her four-year-old daughter when the motorcycle on which she was commuting with her husband was hit by a mini bus in Tarn Taran. The deceased have been identified as Baljit Kaur (26) and Jasmine (4), both residents of Naurangabad.

Gurminder Singh, husband of Baljit Kaur, sustained injuries in the incident. The accident took place near Tarn Taran. The family was on its way from Tarn Taran to Naurangabad when a mini-bus coming hit their motorcycle. Baljit Kaur and Jasmine were crushed under the wheels of the mini-van. Angered by the reckless driving of the driver of the min-van, the residents of the area blocked the road and demanded the arrest of the mini-bus.The Tarn Taran Police have registered a case against the unidentified driver of the bus, but no arrests have been made so far.
