Two people were killed and one injured in two road mishaps in Moga on Monday. Police said that Mukha Singh, 36, a resident of Rajeana village, under Baghapurana sub-division was run over by an unknown vehicle near Singhanwala village on Monday morning.

"Khalak Singh got serious injuries in the accident. He was rushed to the Moga civil hospital by the villagers, but due to his critical health doctors of the emergency ward referred him to Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital, Faridkot," said assistant sub-inspector Pal Singh of Charik police station.

In another incident, Baldev Singh, 60, of Khariaal village in Sangrur was killed, when a speeding heavy vehicle ran over him near Rauli village in this district.

After the post-mortem, the bodies were handed over to the family members.

The police have registered two different cases against two unknown drivers.
