Two men abducted a 13-year-old daughter of their neighbour and also allegedly tried to rape her. The accused have been identified as Noorshed and Ajmad Alam of Krishna Chowk, New Kundan Puri.

In his complaint, the victim's father alleged that his daughter, a student of Class 8, had gone to school on August 11 but did not return. They tried to find her, but to no avail. Then, the area residents told him that her daughter was last seen with Noorshed and Ajmad following which he made a complaint to the police.

Acting on the complaint, the police arrested the accused and recovered the girl from their possession.

Sub-inspector Randhir Singh, station house officer of the Division Number 4 police station, said a case of abduction was registered against the accused. The police would add other sections after the medical examination of the girl.

The police on Sunday produced the accused before the court, which remanded them to two-day police custody for questioning.
