Police commissioner Pramod Ban transferred several station house officers (SHOs) on Tuesday, but after sometime he cancelled the transfer list and released a fresh one in the evening.

But these two transfer lists issued in the gap of just a few hours left the cops of the Ludhiana police commissionerate puzzled.

The police commissioner has also upgraded the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar police post to police station. Now, the Ludhiana police commissionerate has 29 police stations under it.

According to the fresh list, inspector Hardeep Singh, who was the SHO of the Basti Jodhewal police station, has been transferred as SHO of the Division Number 1 police station.

Inspector Surinder Mohan, who was the SHO of the Division Number 1 police station, has been transferred to the Police Lines.

Inspector Harpal Singh has joined as the SHO of the Basti Jodhewal police station. Earlier, he was deputed at the Police Lines.

Inspector Balwinder Singh replaces inspector Raj Kumar as the Shimlapuri police station SHO. Inspector Raj Kumar has been sent to the special branch as incharge.

Inspector Vinod Kumar, incharge at traffic zone-4, has been transferred as SHO of the Koom Kalan police station. He replaces inspector Barjinder Singh, who has been sent to the Police Lines.

Inspector Amrinder Singh, who was earlier attached with the ADCP, city-4, has been appointed as the SHO of the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar police station.

The police commissioner said the first transfer list was cancelled due to some clerical errors.

He added that the officers have been asked to join new posting with immediate effect.
