Colleagues and relatives of trapped factory workers came forward to assist the rescue teams on Thursday. Factory worker Sanjiv Kumar had a lucky escape as he was on leave on the ill-fated Sunday, but his two brothers are trapped under the debris. He accompanied a rescue team in an effort to locate the duo, but to no avail.

Manoj and Manjit, both factory workers, are also working with the rescue teams. On the basis of information provided by these workers, the administration has prepared a map of the inside of the collapsed building. Rescue teams are using this map to navigate their way amid the rubble with drilling machines.

Several holes have been made in the roof to go inside. It was through one such hole that a team entered on Wednesday evening and managed to bring out Nitesh Kumar alive three days after the incident.

On Thursday morning, a labourer, Mayank, got a call on his mobile phone from a worker trapped inside. The latter told Mayank that he was near machine No. 2, but soon the call ended abruptly.

When Mayank called up the victim, the latter's phone was switched off. Then, Sanjiv entered through the roof to reach the particular machine. Rescue teams cut iron angles and cement blocks, but they were yet to find the victim. Manjit also went with the rescue workers to look for his uncle, but in vain.
