A video released by a vancouver teen crossed over 300,000 views within one week of being uploaded on Youtube.
This is the third video of aspiring musician Sid Bhullar.
The 17-year-old John Oliver Secondary School student posted his new rap music video, The Puppeteer, to YouTube on August14 and on Thursday it sat at more than 333,000 views.
The song is written and performed by Bhullar and produced by Visualiser C, with the video produced by Wilhelm Films.
“I always wanted to be a rapper,” Bhullar told Vancouver Desi, adding that he grew up listening to rap and hip-hop music like Kanye West, Eminem and Drake.
But he wants to stray from today’s “average song” which is generally “just about partying and drugs” and instead send positive messages and raise awareness on important issues – like one of the first songs he released called Won’t Stop, which addressed the issue of bullying.
