VC inaugurates two new buildings at GNDU

Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) vice-chancellor Prof AS Brar inaugurated the newly constructed buildings of the Department of Emerging Life Sciences and Girls Hostel No 4 on the campus on Monday. Dean academic affairs MS Hundal, dean students welfare P.K. Sehajpal, registrar Inderjit Singh, professor in-charge PR AJS Bhanwer, executive engineer Mokesh Sharma and other senior faculty members and officials of the university were also present.

The Emerging Life Sciences Department building has been constructed at a cost of Rs 2.45 crore. It has 23 labs, 3 lecture halls with a combined capacity of 120 students and one classroom. The four-storeyed building was designed by the engineering department of the university. The VC also inaugurated girls' hostel 4, which has been constructed at a cost of Rs 16 crore. It has 256 rooms and dormitories to accommodate 750 students.
