According to the report, when patient Ajit Singh, a resident of Aasan Kalan village, was brought in the emergency ward of the hospital, Dr Shalini Mittal was absent from duty as per duty roaster.

While the doctor claimed herself to be innocent, the additional deputy commissioner checked the CCTV footage of the hospital, which showed that Dr Mittal reached hospital late by 11 minutes. According to Vij, her late arrival resulted in death of the patient.
