Villager, mother killed in road mishap

A motorcyclist and his mother were killed while his wife and daughter were injured when their two-wheeler hit a tractor-trolley coming from the opposite direction near Nurewal village late Monday evening. The deceased have been identified as Laddi (35), a resident of Burewal village near Sultanpur Lodhi and his mother Sheela (65).

A motorcyclist and his mother were killed while his wife and daughter were injured when their two-wheeler hit a tractor-trolley coming from the opposite direction near Nurewal village late Monday evening.


The deceased have been identified as Laddi (35), a resident of Burewal village near Sultanpur Lodhi and his mother Sheela (65).

"Laddi along with his mother, wife and three children was on way to home after attending a marriage function at Sultanpur Lodhi when the accident occurred. The tractor-trolley driver fled the spot," police sources revealed.

Reeta (32) and Sanjana (6) were seriously injured and were referred to a Jalandhar hospital for treatment. Two other kids Prabhjot Kaur (1) and Arman (2) received minor injuries. The police have registered a case.
