Vinod Khanna hits back at Bajwa over paratrooper remark

Breaking his silence over regular attacks by the Congress candidate from Gurdaspur Partap Singh Bajwa regarding his domicile, the BJP nominee, Vinod Khanna on Monday claimed that Bajwa should consult the dictionary before calling him a paratrooper.

Standing in front of his house in Pathankot, Khanna mocked Bajwa’s allegation of calling him a paratrooper. “Bajwa calls me a paratrooper. But does he know what a paratrooper means? Paratroopers are sent on a special mission. The special mission that I am on is to defeat Bajwa,” the actor-turned-politician said.

“If Bajwa had visited constituency at least once, he would have noticed my humble abode and the local address,” Khanna said while pointing to his house in the Pathankot area of Gurdaspur constituency.

Bajwa was so busy partying in Delhi that he paid no attention to the constituency, Khanna said, adding that, “Where was he during the last five years? What work has he done? No wonder he was rated as one of the worst performing MPs by a survey recently.”

Khanna said he can count his achievements on finger tips, but Bajwa can only curse the state government by putting onus of everything that has gone bad on the chief minister and the SAD-BJP government.

“I am a committed worker and will do my best for Gurdaspur,” he said.
