Seeking to woo woman voters, BJP candidate from Gurdaspur Vinod Khanna on Wednesday said that bringing projects that would help women become financially independent would be among his top priorities.
Addressing an election meeting, he said, “Since campaigning is on, every leader has been talking big but no one is looking at the problems and issues of women in this constituency.
My promise is to bring many projects that would be focused on making women self-dependent and employed.”
Khanna campaigned on Wednesday in Tharial, Banwal, Ghoya and Mandwal areas where he met thousands of enthusiastic woman supporters who were eager to talk to him and share their woes.
He promised them that he would work on getting many small-scale and handicraft industries to the region once the BJP government comes to power at the Centre.
