Vistara launches Amritsar-Delhi direct flight

The airline will also start a daily Amritsar-Mumbai flight from March 8.

Vistara Airline started its direct flight to Delhi from the Amritsar on Wednesday. The airline will also start a daily Amritsar-Mumbai flight from March 8.

These flights will be direct and will operate daily from the local Sree Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport in Amritsar.

In a press conference, Vistara CEO Phee Teik Yeoh, said, “We are very happy to add Amritsar to our network, and we sincerely believe in the city’s great potential for growth in several aspects, apart from only tourism.”

The CEO said very soon, the airline will launch the Delhi-Leh operations.

Notably, the Vistara airline will depart from Delhi at 1.20 pm and reach Amritsar at 2.35 pm. The flight will return to Delhi at 3.10 pm and reach at 4.30 pm.

Commenting on the service, Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal said introduction of the new flights from Amritsar to Delhi by Vistara will help not only people of the state, but all flyers too who travel within the country and overseas.

The service will help Punjab harness its industrial, tourism, religious as well as business growth potential, he added.
