Congress MLA from Gidderbaha Amarinder Singh Raja Warring is readying to present himself before chief minister Parkash Singh Badal during his three-day visit to the villages in the constituency for a sangat darshan programme, beginning Tuesday. This is the CM's first tour to the constituency since the assembly elections in 2012.
Warring has not received any invitation from the district administration to be part of the CM's schedule, something that has irked the MLA.
"I have not been invited. Government money is being spent in just making a show of the people's problems, when most of the matters listed should have been handled in routine. There can be better person than the local MLA to explain the real issues involved. But, this is the way this government functions."
"I have decided to go to the sangat darshan, even if I am not invited."
He alleged that the Badal family had brought no development to Gidderbaha and that he would present a detailed list of the people's problems to the CM.
"The sangat darshans is a waste of money and time as only routine works and duties of the administration are presented as demands and then CM pretends to help people."
"During my first assembly session, Badal assured me on record that that we would make available more funds for Gidderbaha. However, the promise failed to come through. I was fooled and so he can also easily fool the state's citizens."
He claimed that he will draw the CM's attention to the increasing number of cancer cases in the Gidderbaha and also demand the setting up of college in the region.
"These are serious issues, which the CM is not going to address in his sangat programmes," he claimed.
