Welfare schemes have benefitted all sections of society: Dhindsa

Finance minister Parminder Singh Dhindsa has said that people from all sections of society have benefitted from the welfare schemes launched by the Akali-BJP government in the state.

Dhindsa, who was here to distribute cheques of compensation to families of the farmers, who have lost their lives or have been handicapped with the use of agricultural implements, said that the state government was committed to the overall development of the state and the money is not the constraint for the development of the Sangrur region.

He said that the government was working to accelerate the development of people from weaker sections of society.

Speaking on the occasion, local MLA and chief parliamentary secretray Parkash Chand Garg said that the welfare schemes launched by the state government have benefitted people of the state and would continue to do so in the future.
