Will contest polls from Gurdaspur, says Fateh Jang Bajwa

Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) general secretary Fateh Jang Singh Bajwa on Monday said he would contest the upcoming assembly elections from Gurdaspur constituency.

Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) general secretary Fateh Jang Singh Bajwa on Monday said he would contest the upcoming assembly elections from Gurdaspur constituency.

Speaking after opening his office here, Bajwa said he had come to Gurdaspur to end the “cruelties” of MLA Gurbachan Singh Babbehali against the Congress workers in the constituency.
He declared that he would not tolerate if any party worker was harassed by the local Akali leader and he had come here for ever.

He claimed that he had the acceptability of all sections people in the Gurdaspur segment.

He said his office would function like a 'Suvidha Kendra' for the residents of Gurdaspur.

Bajwa said he had employed three employees at his office, who would cover the offices of deputy commissioner, senior superintendent of police and tehsildar. He said the people would submit their files at his office and his men would get their works done from the offices concerned and would inform the applicant to receive his/her file.

He declared that the requisite government fees for various works would also be paid by his men.
