Will maintain high standards of education in Punjab: Cheema

Aiming for improving the quality of education in Punjab, education minister Daljit Cheema reiterated that there will be no compromise with quality of education.

“The Punjab government is fully committed to maintain high standard of education in the state. No compromise will be made in ensuring the delivery of quality education in all the government schools,” said Cheema, while kickstarting the process for allotment of stations to the newly promoted teachers, here at Punjab School Education Board auditorium on Monday.

“The government will also sympathetically consider all concerns of the teachers and newly-promoted teachers will be allotted stations as per their choice,” said Cheema.

Within two working days, 907 promoted teachers will get stations as per their choice.” Cheema added.

DPI (SS) Balbir Singh Dhol said the education department on Monday allotted stations to 365 Punjabi, 22 science and 98 math teachers.

He said this process will also continue on Tuesday and remaining teachers of Hindi, social science, agriculture and sanskrit will get posting at the new stations.
