Woman booked for procuring passports using fake documents

Division Number 5 police on Wednesday booked a Delhi woman for procuring passports using fake documents.

Complainant Sandeep Babbar, a resident of Dwarka, Delhi, told police that his wife Rashi Gangwali procured a passport for herself and their son using fake documents, and went to Hong Kong. She procured fake documents from Ludhiana in which she had mentioned that her husband was living in Canada, he alleged. He also told police that his relations with his wife were strained.

Division Number 5 SHO Beant Juneja said, “Police have registered a case under Sections 177 (furnishing false information), 420 (cheating) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 12 of the Passport Act against the woman. We are investigating the matter. Police will pursue the matter with embassy for the arrest of woman.”
