Sadar Police have registered a case under section 304-A (causing death due to negligence) of the Indian penal code against the doctor following the complaint of Chintu Singh, Khusboo's husband.

The complainant stated that his wife was suffering from toothache on Friday and he rushed her to Tomar Clinic on the Gill Road for treatment.

He alleged that Dr Joginder Singh, owner of Tomar Clinic, administrated medicine to her but she suffered pain in the stomach after some time. He again rushed her to the doctor's clinic and she was administrated injections following which she suffered acute pain and difficulty in breathing and after some time she died.

After the victim's death, the family members and area residents protested outside the clinic and demanded a police case against the doctor.

Assistant sub-inspector Balbir Singh, in-charge of Marado police post, said, a case was registered against the doctor, who was yet to be arrested.
