Woman, paramour booked for abetting husband’s suicide

The Daba Police booked a woman and her paramour for allegedly abetting her husband to commit suicide on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Lakhvir Singh, 37, a resident of the Mundian Khurd area.

In his complaint, deceased’s brother Jasbir Singh said Lakhvir married Parveen Kaur around 15 years ago. He alleged that only after a few years of marriage, Parveen started living with her paramour Sunny.

The complainant alleged that on Sunday evening, Lakhvir called him and said Parveen and Sunny barged into his house and forced him to drink wine and then the phone got disconnected.

Later, Lakhvir’s landlord Gurmeet Singh informed him about his death. Jasbir alleged that the accused have abetted his brother to commit suicide.

Following the complaint, the police registered a case against Parveen Kaur and her paramour Sunny under section 306 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Inspector Sukhbir Singh, station house officer (SHO) of the Daba police station, said the police have launched a manhunt to arrest the accused.
