Woman receives threats for lodging FIR

Wife of Harvinder Singh, 54, who was allegedly beaten to death by Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Gurbachan Singh Bhullar and his tenants, has been receiving threats for lodging an FIR against them. The woman has lodged another FIR at police station division number 4 against the accused in this context on Thursday.

Ludhiana: Wife of Harvinder Singh, 54, who was allegedly beaten to death by Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Gurbachan Singh Bhullar and his tenants, has been receiving threats for lodging an FIR against them. The woman has lodged another FIR at police station division number 4 against the accused in this context on Thursday.

The police have booked Harsh Kumar, his wife Manju Goswami, and son Nannah, for threatening the woman and making indecent gesture towards her. The police have slammed Sections 294 and 506 of the IPC against the accused.

The woman identified as Lovensi Sabharwal of Tarsem Colony on Jassiyan road has alleged that her husband Harvinder Sabharwal was brutally beaten up by Gurbachan Singh Bhullar, his tenants Rimpy, Shilpi, Rohit and Jyoti on September 13 and he succumbed to his injuries on September 29. She had lodged a case of murder against the accused in this context.

She further added that the accused Harsh Kumar use to support Bhullar and his other accomplices. She added that on September 30 when she was going to market to fetch milk along with her brother, the accused have threatened her and also made indecent gesture towards her.

Inspector Dharampal, SHO at police station division number 4 said, the police have launched a manhunt for the arrest of the accused.
