World Kabaddi Cup-2015 finals to be held at Jalalabad: Sukhbir

Deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, on Tuesday, announced that the finals of the Sixth World Kabaddi Cup 2015 would be organised at the multipurpose sports stadium, Jalalabad.

Deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, on Tuesday, announced that the finals of the Sixth World Kabaddi Cup 2015 would be organised at the multipurpose sports stadium, Jalalabad.

He said that the stadium at Jalalabad is amongst the top five sports stadiums in the state.
He said that this stadium was constructed because people of Jalalabad are sports lovers. He said more facilities would be added to the stadium.

Sukhbir received a rousing welcome the moment he reached the stadium here on Tuesday.
"Most of your problems have already been resolved and a few which are left would also be redressed soon," he said while addressing the jam-packed stadium.

The deputy CM said that cemented roads would be constructed in all villages of Jalalabad constituency and this work will be completed within the next 15 months.

He said that RO system has already been provided in all villages of the constituency and the construction work of the stadium at Fazilka is also going on at full speed.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included member of Parliament Sher Singh Ghubaya, OSD to deputy CM Satinder Jit Singh Manta, deputy commissioner Manjit Singh Brar, senior superintendent of police Swapan Sharma, besides several others.
