A day after executive engineer was suspended to suspend was given, better sense prevailed on Monday at the yoga camp as the authorities acted on yoga guru Ramdev’s request to take back the suspension of executive engineer of power department.
The health minister Anil Vij had announced Ranga’s supension on Sunday, first day of the yoga camp, as the sound system and display on giant screens was disrupted twice. The camp has been projected as training ground for Haryana CM, ministers, MLAs, MPs and top bureaucrats in view of International Yoga Day on June 21.
While the yoga exercise was going on, Ramdev told Vij from the stage that yoga’s job was to connect people and the mistake on the part of B S Ranga should be forgiven. After that Vij took back the suspension. Though on Sunday a committee was formed to look into the lapses too.
STRAY DOG ENTERS VENUE ON DAY 2
The second day of yoga camp was also anything but a perfect show. When the yoga exercise was going, a stray dog intruded into the parade ground and had come close to Vij. The minister’s head was down at that time and cops managed to shoo away the dog on time.
It is learnt later deputy commissioner of police, Panchkula, Anil Dhawan expressed his displeasure with the policemen guarding the venue. He questioned them on their alertness and how did the dog managed to sneak in. A police personal said that fortunately Vij remained unaware otherwise today could have also witnessed suspension of officials.
POOR SHOW AGAIN
The second day of yoga camp at parade ground in Panchkula drew lesser people than the first day. For the second day, ministers, MLAs, MPs gave the function a miss. Along with Vij, just food and supply minister Karandev Kamboj and social justice minister Krishan Kumar Bedi were present.
Chief parliamentary secretary Shyam Singh Rana and local MLAs Gian Chand Gupta and Latika Sharma also were present. Among top bureaucrats jadditonal chief secretaries Sunil Gulati and PK Mahapatra were present. A senior officer said on Tuesday a good number of ministers, MLAs and top bureaucrats will come here as CM Manohar Lal Khattar will be in attendance.
