Youth shot at in Government Brijindra College

One Baljinder Singh alias Shaktimaan, 23, was seriously injured when another youth Tanush Sharma, shot at him from behind after a clash over an alleged affair with a girl student of Government Brijindra College here, where the incident took place at about 10:25am.

"Both Baljinder and Tanush first entered into a heated argument on the premises of the college and then Tanush disappeared, but soon returned with a pistol and shot at Baljinder, who was seriously injured. He was immediately rushed to Guru Gobind Singh medical college," claimed a source.

The police have booked Tanush Sharma under sections 307(attempt to murder), 323(causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of IPC besides the arms Act. Both the injured and the accused are not reportedly on the rolls of the college.
