Zulfiqar Khan, director of Theatre Age, who was arrested in July on sodomy charges, moved a regular bail application in court on Tuesday. The court has asked the UT police to file a reply on the bail plea by Wednesday.

As per the bail plea filed through advocate AS Sukhija, Zulfiqar has stated he had been falsely framed.

The statement of a 15-year-old victim in the case has also been attached with the plea. The minor had stated the accused never sodomised him, and that he was not the one seen in the photographs - in which Zulfiqar is seen sodomising the victims - with the UT police.

The minor boy has also stated that he had no objections to the bail.

The court order on December 15, in which the UT police were asked to file five different challans with respect to all five victims in a month, has also been attached.

The case

Zulfiqar Khan was arrested on July 11 for sodomising children belonging to his organisation, Theatre Age. As per the case, from 2002 till 2015, the accused committed unnatural sexual crimes with these five children. While doing so, he exhibited porn videos to them and also threatened of dire consequences if they revealed anything. Four of the five victims are now adults.
