Manish Kumar Shukla, 23, has made the state proud with his first social commercial ‘’Do Dooni Char’’ being rated among the top five global commercials by GlobalGiving, an international civil society organisation.

The two minute commercial is based on Seva Mandir (a non-profit organization in Udaipur) which provides primary education to deprived children of rural Rajasthan.

The commercial showcases the happiness Seva Mandirs had brought in the lives of rural children by educating them and requests people from across the world to make donations to support the NGO.

Shukla is an alumnus of Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ) and the commercial, which he made singlehandedly, is now on Twitter and Facebook pages of GlobalGiving to encourage donations for social causes.

Shukla said his next mission was to shoot a similar film in Jharkhand and encourage financial support for social initiatives in the tribal state.

GlobalGiving is a charity fund-raising website that gives social entrepreneurs and non-profit organisations a chance to raise money they need to improve their communities.

According to its website, GlobalGiving has raised $168,217,593 from 427,397 donors who have supported 11,895 projects across the world since the year 2002.

Shukla is currently based in Udaipur, Rajasthan, while his family lives in Ranchi. He aspires to make a career in filmmaking with a focus on social issues.
