After clocking millions of clicks and winning YouTube Gold award, which honours viral videos from across the world, Kolaveri Di continues to make its mark. An article on the song has been featured in the Time magazine.
"I'm not sure about this fact but someone I know told me that it is after 20 years after it featured a story on Roja that the magazine is running such a story again," Kolaveri composer Anirudh Ravichander was quoted by NDTV as saying.
"I’m numb. It hasn’t sunk in yet. I didn’t expect in my wildest dreams that the song would become so popular. Now expectations are high, so I want to focus on making the rest of the album just as good," Ravichander had earlier told Shweta Mehta in an interview.
The Kolaveri composer is also has a Bollywood offer in his kitty, "Yes, I have an offer, but I don’t want to disclose it right now," he says. "There are others too. But my debut album is my baby and I want to give it my best, and then look forward to everything else."
Dhanush also thanked fans for making the song a success on Twitter, "To all my north Indian Kolaveri fans, thanks for receiving a Tamil song with a warm heart and making it a global song. God bless."
