If the industry grapevine is anything to go by, actors Akkineni Nagarjuna and Nani are all set to team up for the first time for a multi-starrer project. It is believed that young director Sriram Adittya, known for films such as Bhale Manchi Roju and Shamanthakamani, will direct this yet-untitled project which will be bankrolled by Aswini Dutt. Apparently, both Nani and Nagarjuna agreed to come together because they were really impressed with the script.

The film is said to be a comedy thriller on the lines of Sriram’s first two films. Since Nani has great comic sense, Sriram wants to tap it to the fullest and portray him in a never before seen avatar. Nagarjuna’s role, on the other hand, has been kept a secret. The project will roll from November or December. Nani, in the interim, will wrap up his other commitments which include his films MCA and his portion for Mani Ratnam’s film. Nagarjuna, in October, will be busy with his son Naga Chaitanya’s wedding to Samantha Ruth Prabhu.

It’ll be interesting to see how Telugu audiences will receive Nani and Nagarjuna on screen. Sriram is currently working on the final draft of the script.
