The one actor who is thrilled to see Baahubali director SS Rajamouli and Amitabh Bachchan receive the National Awards is Prabhas. And to see the two of them in the same frame was a double treat, says the popular Telugu actor. Baahubali: The Beginning directed by SS Rajamouli was adjudged the Best Feature Film at the recently held 63rd National Film Awards, while Bachchan picked up his award for his role in Piku.
“It is such a treat to see two of my most favourite creative people in one frame - Rajamouli sir and Amitabh sir. They are so inspiring,” Prabhas said in a statement. The actor plays the title role in the film, and will be back in the second part of the film Baahubali: The Conclusion, which is already in the works.
Meanwhile, the film’s director and producer Shobu Yarlagadda will be leading a panel discussion at the Cannes Film Festival 2016. The southern magnum opus will also be screened at the prestigious film fest. The film festival will take place from May 11 to May 22. And the film’s team will be part of the gala on May 16.
