Another first for Baahubali: World's largest poster?

Call it a marketing masterstroke or an exercise in futility, it seems the makers of Tamil film Baahubali are taking the tag larger-than-life a little too literally. On an overdrive with the film's promos, now we hear that the film's production team has released what it claims to be the world largest movie poster in Kochi on June 27.

Call it a marketing masterstroke or an exercise in futility, it seems the makers of Tamil film

Baahubali

are taking the tag larger-than-life a little too literally. On an overdrive with the film's promos, now we hear that the film's production team has released what it claims to be the world largest movie poster in Kochi on June 27.

Given the fact that the first week is critical to any film's prospects at the box office and the phenomenal cost at which

Baahubali

has been put together (estimated cost of Rs 250 - 300 crore), the film has gone big with promotions. On June 13, the team saw a high profile audio release at the temple town of Tirupati.

The two-part

Baahubali

is the story of two estranged brothers, Baahubali and Bhallavadeva, played by Telugu superstars Prabhas Raju and Rana Daggubati. The film also stars Tamannaah Bhatia, Anushka Shetty, Nasser, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj and Sudeep.

The film has been made simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil and will be dubbed in Hindi and Malayalam. The trailer, both Telugu and Hindi, is a hit on youtube with even the Hindi version notching up over 32 lakhs views (Telugu version stands at 43 lakhs).

Baahubali - The Beginning will hit the theatres on July 10.
