Anushka Shetty’s Rudhramadevi mints Rs 32 cr in opening weekend

Finally, there is a good news for Telugu filmmakers. Anushka Shetty’s Rudhramadevi is doing well at the box office. Director Gunasekar’s Telugu 3D historical film Rudhramadevi, which was also dubbed and released in Hindi, has approximately grossed Rs 32 crore in its opening weekend worldwide.

“The film has opened well and according to early estimates it has grossed about Rs.32 crore in the opening weekend worldwide. The Telugu version has done exceptionally well and the film has taken a very good overseas opening as well,” said trade analyst Trinath.

Starring Anushka Shetty in the lead, the film chronicles the rise of warrior queen Rudhramadevi in the Kakatiya dynasty.

The film also features an ensemble cast of Rana Daggubati, Allu Arjun, Prakash Raj, Krishnam Raju, Nithya Menon and Aditi Chengappa.

The Tamil dubbed version of the film will release on Friday.
