Babu Bangaram wins big at box office, collects Rs 25 cr in four days

Actor Venkatesh’s Telugu action-comedy Babu Bangaram has collected Rs 25 crore within the first four days of its release in cinemas worldwide.

The Maruthi Dasari directorial released on August 12.

“In just four days, the film grossed around Rs 25 crore with a share of Rs 17 crore. The four-day weekend (Aug 12-15) really helped to draw audiences in hordes to the cinemas. This is the biggest solo opening for Venkatesh in a long time,” trade analyst Trinath said.

Babu Bangaram has been lapped up by the masses for its overall entertainment factor.

“We are overwhelmed with the response. With Rs 25 crore gross in the first four days, the numbers stand testimonial to the film’s success,” producer Naga Vamshi said.

Also starring Nayanthara, Prudhviraj, Sampath Raj and Murali Sharma, the film has also been dubbed and released in Tamil as Selvi.

Co-produced by Naga Vamshi and PDV Prasad, Babu Bangaram has music by Ghibran.
