The shooting of Vikram’s Saamy 2 aka Saamy Square has been progressing at brisk pace over the last few weeks in and around Chennai. On Monday, the makers were in for a shock when Trisha Krishnan, one of the leading ladies of the film, revealed that she has opted out of the film, citing creative differences and wished the team good luck. When we did some digging, we found out why exactly Trisha chose to walk out of the project after expressing joy on signing the project not very long ago. The makers are left in a dilemma to find a replacement for Trisha, who played a pivotal part in the first part which released over two decades ago.

If you’re still wondering why Trisha walked out of the project, then you should know she was not happy with her role. Originally, when she heard the narration, she was impressed with her character even though she just comes for half hour. Apparently, her role’s duration was reduced even further after the film went on the floors and Trisha was not happy with the idea. She felt the film offers more scope to Keerthy Suresh to shine and very little for her to even make an impact. Some reports suggested that Trisha was unhappy because she’s not playing the leading lady; however, she is not too keen on playing the lead heroine anymore. A source close to Trisha has rubbished such reports and said that she is kicked about playing any role that’s considered against the grain.

Being directed by Hari, the film is gearing up for release early next year. Vikram will return as the hot-headed, mustache-twirling and foul-mouthed cop. The makers are currently shooting crucial action sequences.
