Veteran actor Nandamuri Balakrishna is the sixth son of Telugu actor NT Rama Rao.

If you thought the heroes in our films have learnt to play their age, Telugu director Sriwas’ forthcoming film Dictator will make your optimism take a nosedive. The under one-minute trailer of this Eros Now film, released on Friday, shows veteran actor Nandamuri Balakrishna, the sixth son of NT Rama Rao, playing a role which actors almost 10 years his junior have been acing with consummate ease for years now.

The teaser shows a rather chubby Balakrishna showing off his street-smart desi avatar, before transforming into his suave self in foreign shores. And before we recover from all this, we see our man romancing a girl, followed by out-of-place action sequences, beating up baddies.

Eros Now has also shared a brief summary of the plot. Dictator looks like a sad mishmash of all things that sell: A comedy-meets-action-drama which is not going anywhere.

The film also stars Sonal Chauhan and Anjali. Its music is by SS Thaman. Dictator is set for a late October release.
