Telugu film Keshava has hit the screens on Friday worldwide. The film marks the reunion of actor Nikhil Siddhartha and director Sudheer Varma after the highly successful crime-drama Swamy Ra Ra. Ever since release of the film’s trailer, there’s been excellent buzz around the film, thanks to its unique plot about a guy suffering from Dextrocardia -- a rare medical disorder in which the heart is on the right side of the body -- and yearning for revenge.

The experience of playing the character changed Nikhil as a person, he said in a recent interview. “The character is such that I can’t get excited or angry or even emotional. It will affect my heart. I had to hold this thought and act accordingly. It wasn’t easy because it made me feel like a different person altogether.” He went on to add that his character is based on a real person the director met while working on Swamy Ra Ra. “There was an actor called Satya in Swamy Ra Ra. His brother suffers from this rare medical condition, which inspired Sudheer to write this story. When Sudheer told me the story is about a guy suffering from this rare condition and yearning for revenge, it really got me excited.”

The film also stars actor Isha Koppikar in a comeback role to Telugu filmdom after a long time. She plays a badass cop and apparently will be seen in some edge-of-the-seat action sequences. From its premiere shows in the US on Thursday night, the film has garnered positive buzz so far and it will help in its theatrical run.
