In a poll season, political drama KO2 mints Rs 4.1 cr in opening weekend

The Bobby Simhaa starrer KO2 has done exceptionally well at the Tamil Nadu box office raking in Rs 4.1 crore in its opening weekend.

Bobby Simhaa-starring Tamil film KO2 has been very well received by the audience and is off to a flying start. It has minted Rs 4.1 crore in the opening weekend at the Tamil Nadu box office. “In its opening weekend in Tamil Nadu, the film netted Rs 4.1 crore and has already been adjudged a hit. The political season in the state has worked really well in the film’s favour,” said trade analyst Trinath.

Directed by Sarath Babu, the film is a political drama, which released on May 13 and revolves around the kidnapping of a state’s chief minister by a common man. Based on the Telugu film Pratinidhi, RS Infotainment-produced KO2 was lauded by critics and audiences alike for its powerful dialogues and music.
