Kamal Haasan’s Vishwaroopam 2 trailer may release on his birthday
The trailer of Kamal Haasan’s Vishwaroopam 2 is expected on November 7, the star’s birthday.
The theatrical trailer of actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan’s much delayed spy thriller Vishwaroopam 2 is most likely to be released on the star’s birthday on November 7, say sources. While an official announcement is awaited, the film’s composer Ghibran on Friday hinted that the trailer will be released very soon during a live chat with fans. When asked about it, sources close to Haasan said while the makers are planning to release the trailer on the special occasion, it is yet to be confirmed.
Even though it was shot as a single film, it was decided that Vishwaroopam would be released in two parts due to its length. It follows the story of an Indian spy, played by Haasan, who befriends a notorious terrorist, played by Rahul Bose, and tries to bring down his empire. The first part was lauded for its high-octane action and taut screenplay. One of the highlights of the film was the scene where Haasan is seen transforming into a mean killing machine from an effervescent Kathak dancer. The sequel promises to be more intense as it is loaded with action and will be highly emotional.
Also starring Andrea Jeremiah, Pooja Kumar and Shekhar Kapoor, the film has music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. Earlier this year, Rajesh Selva, a long-time associate of Haasan, in a tweet confirmed that the project has been revived and all the pending work will be wrapped up soon. It is rumoured that Haasan will commence work on action-comedy Sabash Naidu, which was put on the back-burner after he suffered an injury last year, after Vishwaroopam 2 releases in the coming few months.
