“Singing a Bengali song is a welcome change,” says Kanika Kapoor, who recorded her first Bengali track for a film recently.

Often Bollywood singers explore projects outside the industry. They try their hand at singing in other languages such as Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, etc. Now popular singer Kanika Kapoor, too, went down the same road. The artiste recorded a Bengali number for a film.

The singer, who has tracks such as Baby Doll and Chittiyan Kalaiyaan to her credit, recorded the song last week. A source close to Kapoor reveals, “This is the first time Kanika has recorded a song in Bengali. The peppy number will be used for a dance sequence in the film. The song will release this Eid.”
