She will soon be seen in her first Hindi film titled Mangal Ho. “After my debut in Punjabi films with Canada Di Flight, which was a successful debut, I got this offer and I was more than delighted to grab this one,” Aanushka said in a statement.

“Mangal Ho is a sci-fi comedy film and we have shot 50 percent of the film. I am playing the female lead in the film whose name is Khushi Armstrong. Apart from direction, Prithwish will also star in the film as Budhhi De. Sharing about how she got the role, Aanushka said: “The audition process was long for the role. Initially, I was a bit sceptical but when I heard the story I got attracted to the subject. This story is about the first Indian to go to Mars.”

Though her family has an academic background, Aanushka says her passion for acting brought her to the entertainment industry. “My family is full of academics and I was also good in studies. It’s been two years in the industry and I feel my passion is the driving force,” she said.
