Marathi film Sairat wins big at the BO, earns Rs 41.11 crores

The Marathi film Sairat has done exceptionally well on the box office collecting Rs 41.11 crore, 12 days after its release on April 29.

Trade analyst Taran Adash tweeted about the film’s run at the ticket windows.

On Tuesday, Bollywood actor Aamir applauded the film. This is what the actor had to say:

Earlier, actor Ritiesh Deshmukh too lauded the film and here’s what he said in a tweet.

“#Sairat : haven’t seen a better love story in a long time - the genius of @Nagrajmanjule & the magic of @AjayAtulOnline - .” he tweeted.

Directed by Nagraj Manjule, the film is a romance that follows the story of Parshya, a low-caste man and Archie, the daughter of an upper caste landlord, who fall in love despite pressures from society.
