He's young and nurses big dreams - the trailer of Nivin Pauly-starrer Oru Vadakkan Selfie tells us that at the onset. The young man has dreams of making it big in showbiz as he wants to emulate his idol, filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon.

When the trailer of the Malayalam film opens, we know that no one takes him seriously. His mother looked worried while his friends are almost amused.

This young man sets out into the countryside to shoot a film with a camera for company, borrowing an old van from his dad (or is it a relative?). Next we see him running for cover. Does he get dragged into a sinister plan? Has he captured something on camera he shouldn't have? We don't know.

In all this, we also see him (and his friends of course!) and their collective love for selfies! Welcome to this comedy by Prajith Karanavar.
