Actor-filmmaker Prabhudheva’s last Hindi outing was Singh Is Bling, and since then he has shifted his focus to Kollywood. With his last Tamil release Devi turning out to be a decently successful film; Prabhudheva has signed two films -- including his return to direction in Tamil filmdom after a hiatus of six years. Gearing up to helm the multi-starrer Karuppu Raja Vella Raja and also act in an Indiana Jones-like action adventure Gulebakavali, the Action Jackson director has signed a new Tamil project with filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj.

Apparently, Karthik was supposed to work with Dhanush, and their project was to be produced by Sri Thenandal Films. However, since Dhanush will commence work on his Hollywood project, The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir from this month, he has put the project with Karthik on the back-burner and plans to revive later. In the interim, Karthik plans to work with Prabhudheva, and has also pitched a script which was instantly liked by the latter. While an official announcement is awaited, it is being rumoured that Prabhudheva might produce the film in his own banner. In the last two years, he has produced by five films.

Karthik is one of the promising filmmakers in Kollywood, and is best known for films such as Pizza, Jigarthanda and Iraivi.
