Pulimurugan first poster: Mohanlal doesn't quite fit in

Looks like Malayalam superstar Mohanlal is trying a little too hard to stay relevant in an industry full of newcomers obsessed more with carving out superphysiques than honing their acting skills. Just take a look at the first poster of director Vysakh's new film Pulimurugan, released on Thursday.

Looks like Malayalam superstar Mohanlal is trying a little too hard to stay relevant in an industry full of newcomers obsessed more with carving out superphysiques than honing their acting skills. Just take a look at the first poster of director Vysakh's new film Pulimurugan (Tiger Murugan), released on Thursday.

He looks jaded, out of shape, and his stylised beard and cloth-bandaged hands and legs just don't fit-in to the image we have of this talented actor. Add to this the film's tagline -- The Wild Hunter -- and we already get the feeling that this will be one film he would soon want to erase from his CV. The poster shows the actor in a crouched position with one hand firmly on the ground and the other pushed back.

The film is directed by Vysakh with Vietnamese stuntman Peter Hein taking care of its stunt choreography. The film is being shot in Silent Valley and Attappadi in Kerala.
