South Indian films rocked at National Awards

Malayalam and Tamil films ruled 58th National awards bagging top honours in the major categories - Best Feature film, Best Actress and Best Actor awards.

Malayalam and Tamil films ruled 58th National awards bagging top honours in the major categories - Best Feature film, Best Actress and Best Actor awards.

Malayalam film Adamante Makan Abu was named the best feature film at the 58th National Awards.

Tamil cinema's Saranya and Marathi actress Mitalee Jagtap Paradhar won the National Award for Best Actress for their performances in the movies Baboo Band Baaja and Thenmerku Paruvakkaatru respectively.

Tamil actor Dhanush (Aadukalam) and Malayalam actor Salim Kumar (Adamante Makan Abu) were named for National Award for Best Actor.
