Tamil actor Manorama hospitalised

Popular Tamil actress Manorama, who was last seen in Suriya-starrer Tamil actioner Singam 2, was admitted to a private hospital on Sunday evening following chest pain.
Popular Tamil actress Manorama, fondly called Aachi by her fans, was admitted to a private hospital on Sunday evening following chest pain, said a relative.
She is likely to undergo angioplasty, said the relative. "After she complained of some discomfort in her chest, we rushed her to the Apollo hospital. Doctors suspect that she might have suffered a cardiac arrest and are likely to perform angioplasty on her," the relative said.
"We are awaiting results of all the tests performed on her Sunday night," the relative added.

Manorama, who has starred in over 750 Tamil films, spanning over five decades, is one of the finest female comedians of the southern film industry.
She was seen in Suriya-starrer Tamil actioner Singam 2 last year.
