Thoongavanam

A fist fight between Kamal Haasan and Trisha Krishnan in a still from Tamil crime thriller Thoongaavanam.

Kamal Haasan’s last thriller Papanasam was set in rural Tamil Nadu. But his new film, Thoongaavanam, is city-based thriller that is stylish, action-packed and high on tension. The new trailer, the second one to be released by the film’s makers, introduces Kamal as a doting father to his young son and gives us a glimpse of his strained relationship with his wife.

The spotlight in the trailer quickly shifts to a pub where most of the film’s story unfolds in a single night. There’s murder, deception and lots of action. Also starring Trisha Krishnan, Prakash Raj, Kishore and Sampath Raj, the racy trailer is well complemented by Ghibran’s pulsating score.
