Set in the microcosm of a theatre company in British India's Tamil Nadu, the film revolves around three characters, all actors in the drama company. Arch rivals Siddharth and Prithviraj are driven by their passion for theatre, and are also in love with the same girl. Yes, you guessed it right: she is the female actor in the group (played by Vedhicka). The group is set up like a gurukul with a number of actors practicing and rehearsing their lines and scenes; all of this interspersed with performances on stage, sometimes playing mythological characters to other times playing characters from the freedom struggle.
Running parallel to the main plot is the budding romance between the Siddarth and Vedhicka. Naturally, his rival Prithviraj isn't happy with it, though he only has a faint suspicion of their romance. Things take a turn for the worse when Siddhath is involved in an unlawful act, forcing him to leave the company. In fact, it almost appears he has become a fugitive.
Waiting expectantly for him is Vedhicka, much to the frustation of Prithviraj. Siddharth will re-surface, but this time a freedom fighter or is that a street play?
Will Siddharth win back his guru's trust and his lady love? Will the two men eventually patch up? All of this will unfold when the film hits the screens in November 2014.
