When Thala Ajith made a surprise call to Vijay Sethupathi

Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi got a surprise call from superstar Thala Ajith. The latter was impressed by Vijay’s choice of films and encouraged him to continue his good work.

If sources close to Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi are to be believed, the actor recently got a surprise call from superstar Ajith Kumar. “In the schedule break of Vivegam, Ajith got an opportunity to watch all the missed out Tamil films of 2016 and he was super impressed by Vijay Sethupathi’s choice of films,” said a source close to the actor.

In 2016, Vijay Sethupathi had six releases (Sethupathi, Kadhalum Kadanthu Pogum, Iraivi, Rekka, Dharma Durai and Aandavan Kattalai) and among which four were profitable ventures. After a brief telephonic conversation, Ajith also invited Vijay Sethupathi home for lunch and chit chat.

Like Rajinikanth, Thala Ajith is known to encourage young talent.

“Ajith sir appreciated Vijay Sethupathi for his brilliant choice of films and also asked him to continue doing different films,” says our source. Just like Rajinikanth, Ajith is also known for appreciating budding talents which has earned him the love of many of his own counterparts.

However, Vijay Sethupathi’s wife, an ardent fan of Ajith, is disappointed that her husband completely forgot to inform her about the surprise call. “Vijay Sethupathi and his wife are planning to meet Ajith after the schedule break of Vivegam,” informs our source.
